Looking for a replacement fan cage for your burner? Also referred to as Squirrel cage fans, Impellers, and burner fans, these supply the air to the mix. They can become damaged over time, losing efficiency. We can supply many different sizes of fan.
What Is A Burner Fan?
An impeller or squirrel cage fan as they are sometimes called is a rotating component of a centrifugal fan which transfers energy from the motor; it drives the fan by accelerating air outwards from the centre of rotation — the velocity achieved by the impeller transfers into pressure when the fan casing confines the outward movement of the air. Impellers are usually short cylinders with an open inlet or eye to accept incoming air, vanes to push the air out radially, and a splined, keyed, or threaded bore to allow a driveshaft.
Your fan will be fitted to a motor, which in turn will either spin the fan at a constant speed or will be fitted to an inverter which allows for adjustment of the speed.
If you are unsure as to which Fan Impeller you require, please call the office, and we will be happy to assist you.
